Two CPM MPs cause major flight delay
MPs from Kerala caused major delay to Delhi-Cochi Indian Airlines flight.
Passengers were requested to deplane IC-465 when the plane developed a technical snag before departure. All passengers except Varkala Radhakrishnan, CPM MP from Chirayinkil and Dr KS Manoj, CPM MP from Alleppey refused to get down.
Finally, after heated discussions with the crew the two MPs were offloaded. The rest of the passengers were made to board another flight at 9:30 pm, four hours later than their scheduled departure.
However, this is not the first incident of politicians high-handedness. Earlier this year another politician brazenly abused his power. Rajya Sabha MP from Kerala PV Abdul Wahab was accused of entering the cockpit and abusing the pilot. Wahab's remark of calling the pilot a "glorified driver" had inturn triggered protests from the airline and pilots.
