NEW DELHI: It seems not everyone is impressed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's just-concluded five-nation tour to Afghanistan, Qatar, Switzerland, US and Mexico.

A day after his successful run abroad, which included a riveting speech at the US Congress, the Twitterati went after the prime minister for ignoring the situation back home.

While some declared his 'high-profile' US visit as hype, there were others who criticized him for the rising food prices. The numbers spawned a trend #GharAyaPardesi, which became one of the top topics on Twitter on Friday morning.

Some people took dig at him by tweeting #NRIPrimeMinsiter Modi for his 'short' visit to India.
Another person wrote India is celebrating the "GHAR WAPSI CEREMONY" of Modi returns. #GharAyaPardesi There was yet another tweet which took a jibe at his address to US Congress by tweeting, US Congress senates stood up nine times thinking the speech is over. Only 10th time they got success. #GharAyaPardesi
