TVK members arrested in Tamil Nadu for 'sexually assaulting woman'
The arrest of two TVK party affiliates, Balasubramaniam and Jeyapal, on accusations of sexually assaulting a woman under the guise of job offers, has ignited significant political controversy. In response, the party has moved to suspend the accused.

The incident sparked political outrage, with DMK deputy general secretary Kanimozhi slamming the ruling TVK over the "shocking" incident and for not ensuring adequate security to women.
"In today's environment where women's safety is a major issue, when will chief minister Vijay stop blaming DMK as he did during the election and realise that he is ruling the state and act responsibly," Kanimozhi said on 'X'.
Police identified the suspects as TVK Tuticorin west youth wing organiser Balasubramaniam (35) and his friend Jeyapal (28), a party functionary from Ramanathapuram.
