Turkish Airlines flight TK-65 landed at IGI airport in New Delhi, on Tuesday after a supposed bomb threat, a security official said.

NEW DELHI: A Turkish Airlines flight TK 65 flying between Bangkok and Istanbul made an emergency landing at Delhi airport due to a bomb threat on board. The search is on and no bomb has been found in the plane yet.

The pilot requested for emergency landing after someone noticed a note in the planes's toilet that read: bomb in Cargo area. The pilot requested for emergency landing when the plane was flying over Nagpur. It was diverted to Delhi.

The plane is parked at an isolated bay and the all 148 passengers have been deboarded.

Airport sources said that the Delhi Police's bomb disposal squad and fire alarm squad entered the airport at 1400 hrs.

Sources said that deploying the fire alarm squad and bomb disposal squad are standard operating procedure while there is a bomb emergency on board.
