NEW DELHI: The Ram Temple Trust has sought advice from Anoop Kumar Mittal, former chairman of the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), and experts from Larsen and Toubro (L&T) for preparing the blueprint for construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on the VHP model.

Mittal and a representative from L&T accompanied the Ram Temple Complex Development Committee chairman Nripendra Misra to Ayodhya on Saturday. “The quality of the construction is paramount. Mittal can offer the best technical advice along with L&T experts. The work on the entire 67.7 acre complex is to be ultimately handled by a construction firm and the trust will take a decision on the same within a couple of months,” a member of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust told ET, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

The Misra committee will be expanded with inclusion of experts and engineers from the public and private sectors over the next few days. It will study the VHP’s model for the temple, do soil-testing site and carry out a technical survey of the site.

A report on the same could be submitted by the end of this month, after which the trust could decide on the date for bhoomi-pujan by PM Narendra Modi, ET has learnt.
