TRS government tried to evade issues in Assembly: BJP
HYDERABAD: BJP today said the TRS government tried to evade crucial issues, including power crisis and farmers' financial distress, during the just-concluded Budget session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly.

"Government tried to evade many issues. It did not give clarity on power crisis, farmers' loan waiver and others. The government could not give confidence to farmers on crops cultivation," BJP floor leader in the House K Laxman told reporters here.

The Budget session of the Telangana Assembly concluded yesterday.

Laxman alleged that the government tried to divert people's attention from major issues "with ministers making rhetorical speeches."

The government slashed fund allocations for social security pensions, PDS ration cards and others, he further alleged.

Laxman claimed that the BJP tried to play the role of a constructive opposition by raising public issues and not levelling criticism just for the sake of it.
