The Bombay High Court on Wednesday demanded to know for how long the Mumbai Police’s investigation in the alleged TRP manipulation scam and if the authorities have any evidence against ARG Outlier Media Pvt Ltd and its promoter Arnab Goswami.

“We want to know from you that for how long you are going to continue the investigation,” a division bench of Justices SS Shinde and Justice Manish Pitale told special public prosecutor (SPP) Shishir Hiray.

The bench was hearing a plea by ARG Outlier Media, which runs Republic TV, and Goswami challenging an FIR filed against the channel and its employees for allegedly manipulating their television rating point (TRP) ratings by bribing some households.

Appearing for Goswami and Republic TV, senior counsel Ashok Mundargi argued that the state police have filed two charge sheets and no substantial evidence have shown against petitioners.
