Tripura Congress President resigns
In a letter to AICC general secretary in-charge Luizinho Falerio, he stated the biggest error was silent acquiescence to instructions of consulting with members of BJP.

Barman had posted in Twitter on Tuesday that he has resigned. Replying to a query from ET, he said he “has resigned from the post of PCC chief”. Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Barman said, “I start this day without having to listen to criminals and liars.
Not having to worry about which colleague will back stab you, not having to indulge in groupism and back chat. Today I can contribute to my state with a clear mind.” Tripura Congress is riddled with factionalism and the PCC chief had sharp differences with several leaders over National Register of Citizens (NRC).
Like tribal-based parties in Tripura, Pradyot tobatted for NRC in Tripura and filed petition in the Supreme Court. In his letter to Falerio he stated, “I would like thank the Congress President... However, irreconcilable differences, downright disregard for local issues in order to cater to some individuals personal narrative and utter contempt for my manner of functioning by you and your team has left my conscious with no other option but to resign...”
