Saha highlighted that Nehru's indecision resulted in policies that hampered the nation's growth after independence. He compared this with Upadhyaya’s philosophy of Integral Humanism, which promotes a balanced approach between material and spiritual well-being. “Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya's philosophy of Integral Humanism, and for adopting Indian philosophy integrated with Nature leaving the foreign mindset. Deendayal’s vision provided a balanced approach, synthesizing material and spiritual well-being while focusing on the holistic development of the individual and the nation,” Saha said.
Saha also noted Upadhyaya’s advocacy for a decentralized polity and self-reliant economy centered around villages. He emphasized Upadhyaya’s inclusive vision, where no one is excluded. Saha praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for highlighting Upadhyaya’s contributions. “It was only after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister that every citizen of India became aware of Deendayal Upadhyaya’s role and vision for the nation,” he added.
The event was organized by the Information and Cultural Affairs department of Tripura at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala.
