Trinamool only opposition party to enter Lakhimpur Kheri after 12-hour wait: Didi

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said on Wednesday that the "Trinamool Congress was the only opposition party which entered Lakhimpur after a 12-hour wait and met the families of the deceased".

"They took great trouble to enter Lakhimpur after a 12-hour stay in the area. Lok Sabha MP Kakoli Ghosh Dostidar, Pratima Mondal, Dola Sen, Sushmita Dev and Dola Sen were part of the delegation. Dola Sen told me that she disguised as a Punjabi to enter Lakhimpur," Banerjee said.

Party spokesperson Kunal Ghosh, tweeted: "Rahul Gandhi should know that AITC MPs are in Lakhimpur after a long fight. In Tripura, BJP imposed Section 144 throughout Agartala only to prevent Abhishek Banerjee. INC is a loser in UP, including Amethi. But AITC defeated BJP in Bengal. INC made Punjab a mess."
