Trinamool Congress to move no confidence motion against UPA government: Mamata Banerjee
Gearing up for opposition attack during the upcoming winter session, govt yesterday asserted that it was ready to face any situation.

Mamata has announced her decision after holding a meeting with all her party MPs at the state administrative headquarters in Writers' Buildings on Saturday.
"This government has no moral right to continue in power. We will bring the no-confidence motion against it in the coming session of the Lok Sabha. We will be opposing the anti-people policies of this government. I appeal to all the political parties to support us in pulling down this government," Mamata said after holding meeting with her MPs.
It is learnt that party MP Sudip Bandopadhaya has been assigned to initiate measures to bring the motion in the Lok Sabha. Senior party MP Sougata Roy will address the Lok Sabha on the day when Trinamool Congress will introduce the motion.
Mamata's announcement to bring the motion has created a stir in the political circles here. Congress leaders say that Mamata does not have required number of MPs to bring the motion. Trinamool Congress will require support of at least 50 MPs in the Lok Sabha to bring the no-confidence motion.
But the party has only 17 MPs in the Lok Sabha and it is certain that Trinamool Congress will require support of other political parties to bring the motion. It is still uncertain which political party will support Mamata Banerjee to bring the motion. But Congress sources here feel that Mamata will start hectic lobbying with some regional political parties to collect the required number of MPs to bring the motion.
CPI(M) is very unlikely to help Mamata Banerjee to bring the motion. Same is the case with three other Left parties like RSP, Forward Bloc and CPI. Even though CPI MP Gurudas Dasgupta has supported Mamata's move for bringing the motion, the CPI is unlikely to help Mamata to bring the motion.
