Trinamool Congress amplifies Goa pitch; Mamata Banerjee wishes Goans

In a bid to oversee his party's preparations ahead of the assembly polls in Goa and review its work in Tripura, Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhisek Banerjee is likely to visit the two states later this month.

Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee and Abhisek Banerjee had visited Goa in the second week of this month and campaigned for the party in the coastal state.

"Abhisek Banerjee is likely to visit Goa (again) on December 26 to review poll preparedness ahead of the assembly polls next year and oversee the party's organisational work and he is likely to go to Tripura following his Goa visit," Trinamool's spokesperson, Kunal Ghosh, said.


Meanwhile, on Goa Liberation Day, Mamata Banerjee tweeted: "Greetings to all my Goan brothers and sisters on the 60th Goa Liberation Day. I salute the supreme sacrifice of all our freedom fighters. On this momentous occasion, come let us pledge to usher in a New Dawn for our beautiful state and honour their sacrifice."
