Trinamool Congress again urges Election Commission to hold bypolls

​​This is the third memorandum presented by the Trinamool Congress to the EC. The first was presented on July 15 and the second on August 6.

A Trinamool Congress delegation submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission of India on Thursday urging it to hold by-polls to the seven assembly seats in Bengal at the earliest.

This is the third memorandum presented by the Trinamool Congress to the EC. The first was presented on July 15 and the second on August 6.

After meeting the Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra, the five-member delegation comprising Lok Sabha MPs Saugata Roy, Mahua Moitra and Sajda Ahmed, Rajya Sabha MPs Sukhendu Sekhar Roy and Jawhar Sircar, submitted a memorandum to the EC.
