DUMKA: Fulfilling a long cherished dream of becoming a lecturer in a university, where he was working as a class IV employee, a tribal has come a long way.

Sushil Tudu will join as a lecturer of Santhali language in the Santhali Academy of the Siddo-Kanhu Murmu University after qualifying for the post. He was working there as a peon since 2004.

The resident of Simildohi village of Pakur district in Jharkhand, Tudu comes from a poor family background. His father had died in his childhood.

He completed his schooling from Dumka and did his Masters from Ranchi university.

J Das, the media officer of Siddo-Kanhu university told the media that Tudu got the job of a class IV employee in the academy in 2004 on compassionate ground after the death of his elder brother.

After completing his masters, he cleared the National Eligibility Test, conducted by the University Grants Commission.

He has been selected for the post of lecturer in Santhali language, Das said.
