Train services disrupted in Canning
Train services between Sonarpur and Sealdah stations were on Monday disrupted after two bogies of the Sonarpur-Canning shuttle derailed while the train was entering Sonarpur station.

CANNING: Train services between Sonarpur and Sealdah stations were on Monday disrupted after two bogies of the Sonarpur-Canning shuttle derailed while the train was entering Sonarpur station, Railway sources said.
Apart from the driver and guard none was present in the train which was entering the station from the carshed at around 5.30 a.m., sources said adding there was no report of injury.
As a result many trains between Sonarpur and Sealdah stations were cancelled, sources said.
Irate passengers put up a blockade at Sonarpur station around 6 a.m. to protest against the cancellation of trains.
Normal services were resumed after the blockade was lifted around 10.45 a.m., sources added.
