Train service affected due to flood, rain in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh

BHUBANESWAR: With rain water submerging tracks and flood water flowing above the danger mark on railway bridges due to heavy rain in coastal Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, train services have been disrupted between Khurda Road and Vizianagaram in Howrah-Chennai main line under East Coast Railway.

Some trains have been diverted, short-terminated, cancelled and rescheduled, ECoR sources said.

The ECoR has engaged special patrols to maintain strict vigil where water was flowing at a danger level near railway lines and bridges.

ECoR also set up a helpline telephone numbers: 0674- 2301525, 0674-2303721 and 08455885936 to provide information on the running of trains.
