HYDERABAD: The rebel Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA S Bapu Rao, facing allegations of involvement in the human trafficking case, surrendered before the police here on Thursday.

Bapu Rao, who represents Boath constituency in the backward Adilabad district, appeared at the Central Crime Station (CCS) and gave himself up.

The police had earlier booked a case against him based on the information given by the alleged kingpin in the Immigration scam and city-based travel agent Rasheed during interrogation.

Another rebel TRS legislator K Lingaiah is already in judicial custody after his recent arrest in connection with the fake passport racket.
