Traffic Police Care (TPC) is the new initiative of Bengaluru Traffic Police, which has joined hands with a local firm Aspiring Wings Technologies to enable public to express their opinion on how traffic is managed at key junctions in the city .
Earlier managed through the http:www.ourtpc.com, the new mobile app has been developed for people to rate five junctions Kodigehalli, Adugodi, Basaveshwaranagar circle, Chamarajpet circle and Minerva circle. Commuters can use the app to select `Happy' or `Unhappy' options. At the end of every month, the results are scrutinised and policemen at junctions with the highest `happy' ratings will be awarded. Problems at the `unhappy' junctions will be fixed.
"Of the five junctions, we will choose the best and the worst ones and find appropriate solutions," Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) MA Saleem told ET. GS Santhosh Kumar, founder and chief executive at TPC, came up with the idea by looking at the city's traffic woes. "This helps traffic police identify the problem areas and find solutions for them," Kumar said.
