Too little time to transform Uttar Pradesh: Yogi Adityanath
NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday expressed satisfaction at his government’s performance, even as he said 100 days was too little a time to bring about complete transformation of the state with limited resources and refused to take any questions at a press conference held in Lucknow.

Adityanath released a 48-page booklet titled ‘100 Din Vishwas Ke (Hundred Days of Trust)’ which listed more than 200 “achievements” of his government and said the CM was committed to establishing a crime-free state.

According to the booklet, more than 75,000 persons have been arrested for various crimes in UP, including 807 wanted criminals, and 1,627 people have been booked under the Gangsters Act since the BJP government took office. The Adityanath government has been under fire for incidents of crime and vigilantism in the state, with the opposition criticising it for the law and order situation and the role of rightwing elements.

The Congress released a separate document slamming the 100-day tenure of the Adityanath government.
