To save a goon, the entire party has questioned my character: Swati Maliwal after AAP denies any wrongdoing
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal accused her party of questioning her character to protect a "goon," following allegations made against her. This statement came after party leader Atishi dismissed Maliwal's allegations as part of a "BJP conspiracy...

"The leaders who joined the party yesterday declared a 20-year-old worker as a BJP agent. Two days ago the party had accepted the truth in the PC and today it has taken a U-turn," said the RS MP in a post on X.
"This goon is threatening the party that if I get arrested I will reveal all the secrets. That is why he is roaming around in Lucknow and everywhere seeking shelter," she added.
Maliwal further said, "Today, under his pressure, the party gave in and to save a goon, my character was questioned by the entire party. No problem, I have been fighting alone for the women of the entire country, I will fight for myself too. Do character assassination as much as possible, the truth will come out when the time comes."
On Tuesday, senior AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh had said that the incident with Maliwal was "highly condemnable" and had claimed that Kumar had "misbehaved" with her.
Atishi's allegations:
"On May 13, AAP MP Swati Maliwal entered Chief Minister Kejriwal's residence without an appointment. He was not available, but she still initiated an argument with him. When CM's personal secretary Bibhav Kumar stopped her, she began arguing in the drawing room," Atishi said in the press conference.
CM Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar has given complaint to police against Swati Maliwal, said AAP leader Atishi.
Earlier in the day, the AAP had retweeted a video that purportedly shows party MP Swati Maliwal arguing with staff at chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence.
In its tweet, the party attached the video, stating: "Swati Maliwal ka sach".
The Delhi Police filed an FIR based on Maliwal's complaint, detailing the events of May 13. Maliwal alleged that Kejriwal's personal secretary, Bibhav Kumar, assaulted her at the CM's residence.
