To douse race fire, Australia to fix problems on & off campus
Sources at the Australian High Commission said a review of the national legislation on delivery of international education would be fast-tracked.

The Australian government has decided to carry out an audit to fix faults in the system. Sources at the Australian High Commission said a review of the national legislation on delivery of international education would be fast-tracked. It is aimed at laying out a code of conduct for education providers and agents who engage with students.
Besides, as part of a 10-point action plan for student safety developed by deputy and pro-vice-chancellors (International) of Australian universities earlier this month, sufficient affordable and secure accommodation for all students including international students on arrival has been recommended.
Another important point in the action plan is to advocate that all state and territory authorities immediately make available travel concessions for all students to help enhance their safety and security when moving between campuses, accommodation and workplaces, and improve public transport safety for all, and encourage employer and union support for assuring safe travel conditions for student workers.
