The sources further hinted that Ahmed is likely to be called by the Enforcemet Directorate soon in connection with the money laundering case that the Directorate started with reference to Narada sting operation .
Ahmed, who had skipped some dates, arrived at the CBI office this morning. Ahmed, who is also the vice president of Trinamool Congress is allegedly accused of arranging other such meetings between Mathew Samuel of Narada and some other senior leaders of the party. According to the FIR lodged by the CBI, charges of bribery allegations were slapped against 13 senior leaders of Trinamool Congress which include at least six MPs and four ministers of Mamata Banerjee’s Cabinet. According to CBI sources, the accused persons were booked under the sections of criminal conspiracy and appropriate sections of anti-corruption act.
