TMC MLA attacked with stones and bombs

HOWRAH: A Trinamool Congress MLA and his security guard was today attacked with stones and bombs in Howrah district, police said.

The MLA Gulshan Mullick was going along with his guard to Pachda area when stones and bombs were hurled on him, police said.

The MLA has alleged that the attackers were activists of CPI(M) and Congress. Both the parties have, however, denied the charges.

Mullick later on filed an FIR at the local police station.

To prevent escalation of violence in the area, RAF have deployed in the area.
