TMC livid with GJM pamphlet, threatens to take it up with EC
Trinamool today slammed the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha for spreading wrong information to sully the party's image ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.

Threatening to take up the matter with the Election Commission, the party's hill unit said it was against all norms that the Morcha was distributing pamphlets, "containing derogatory remarks against party President and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee".
"The GJM is distributing pamphlets, the content of which is wrong and coated with malice. The misinformation about our party and president comes just before the election. Keeping this in mind, we will write to the EC to take necessary action," TMC spokesperson Binny Sharma said.
The pamphlets being distributed by the GJM has quoted some parts of an article in a national magazine that states "... In a letter sent straight to his boss and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, TMC(local unit)...Vice-President and former Kalimpong SDO, Dipak Ghosh said, 'You have to patiently begin the process of identification...in north Bengal ...according to the 1931 census".
".....After that the movement for Gorkhaland will die a natural death," the purported excerpts of the letter said.
"What Ghosh wrote does not mean that the TMC or our chief thinks along the same lines. Moreover, Ghosh could have been the Vice-President of any Zilla and this can't be counted as the party's view. This is all politics of lies and won't click," Sharma said.
