TMC launches new slogan for bypoll campaign at Bhawanipore constituency

After "Bangla Nijer Meyeke Chae" (Bengal wants its daughter) campaign by Prashant Kishor's I-PAC ahead of assembly polls in Bengal, Trinamool Congress starts a new outreach campaign for Bhawanipore Constituency where Mamata Banerjee will contest in a by-poll.

The new campaign is named 'Unnayan ghore ghore, ghorer meye Bhawanipore e" (Development in every household, daughter of Bhawanipore is here). This by-poll is significant for Mamata Banerjee as she was defeateded in Nandigram in 2021 assembly polls.

This campaign is specially designed for the Bhawanipore Constituency and will be focussing on Mamata’s development work in her home constituency.


Banerjee has won from the Bhawanipore Constituency in 2016 and 2011 assembly polls. This seat was vacated by Shobondeb Chattopadhyay, after Trinamool Congress leadership decided that Mamata Banerjee will contest from this seat. Mamata Banerjee must get elected to the assembly by November 4 to continue as Chief Minister. She was defeated in Nandigram by her former close aide Suvendu Adhikari in a close margin.
