TMC jubilant with Bihar results

KOLKATA: The mood in Trinamool Congress' offices are distinctly different today. There is a spring in the workers' steps. No, not because Diwali is approaching. But because of Bihar election results. Whereas , the BJP Bengal unit has reasons to gloom .

Senior party leaders of TMC, however , terming the victory of "grand alliance" in Bihar as the victory of " Didi" . " Didi supported the grand alliance from the beginning. Her support brought a good share of votes to the grand alliance . But, this is surely the victory of the people of Bihar, " said Subrata Mukherjee,one of the senior most cabinet ministers and a veteran politician .

The TMC core committee will meet soon to decide a poll strategy in Bengal, that is being perceived as the next big election. " we were waiting for the Bihar elections . Now, we can decide on our poll strategy. Bihar election results have clearly paved the away for the alliance of regional parties and strengthened the idea of secular alliance," said a senior TMC leader pleading anonymity.

Meanwhile, the BJP leaders who have gone down on their enthusiasm that they had in the morning. BJP state president Rahul Sinha told , " We have to analyse several things before we jump into the conclusion . At this juncture, we have no comment to make."
