TMC goons unleashed violence during KMC election: Ritabrata Banerjee

SILIGURI: CPI(M) MP and SFI general secretary Ritabrata Banerjee today alleged Trinamool Congress goons unleashed a reign of terror during yesterday's Kolkata Municipal Corporation polls and police remained only a mute spectator.

"Even the State Election Commission has accepted that the KMC elections were not free and fair," Ritabrata said here while taking out a padyatra in support of CPI(M) and Left candidates in the Siliguri Municipal Corporation election which will be held on April 25.

Ritrabrata alleged that the TMC would again try to unleash violence during theApril 25 municipal election in the state to scare away the voters.
