New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu formed a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate ghee procurement for Tirupati laddoos.

He also ordered audit of procurement process of raw materials for all temples in the state.

The move comes on a day when former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling Naidu a "pathological and habitual liar".


He wrote Naidu should be reprimanded in severest of manner for his "shameless act" of spreading lies.

Later in the evening, at a press conference, Naidu said the Jagan Mohan government had diluted tender terms allowing inferior ghee supplies. He said turnover criteria for companies was reduced from ₹250 crore to ₹180 crore.
