Tipu Jayanti celebrations: Unprecedented security across Karnataka
Ahead of the Tipu Jayanti celebrations in Karnataka, a bandh has been called in Madikeri and Coorg. Congress wanted to celebrate the Tipu Jayanti across the state but BJP is opposing it. After few stone throwing incidents, the state government has beefed up the security. The conflict over Tipu Sultan's legacy arose due to the various historical accounts of how he treated Hindus during his rule between 1782 and 1799. For further details watch the video.
