LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Police have made elaborate security arrangements for the scheduled visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Noida (Gautam Buddh Nagar) on December 31, to attend the foundation laying ceremony of Delhi-Meerut expressway.

"PM Modi will reach Sector 62 (Noida) on December 31 at 11.50 am to attend the foundation laying ceremony of Delhi-Meerut expressway, then he will leave for Delhi at about 1 pm," IG law and order A Satish Ganesh told reporters here today.

The state police have deployed eight Superintendent of Police (SP) rank officers, 13 ASPs, 42 DSPs and nine companies of PAC and RAF for the programme, he said.

The state government has also written to the Union Home Ministry seeking four teams of NSG for the programme, he added.
