TiE Kerala to host the first TiEcon Kerala 2012 from October 25 at Kochi

KOCHI: TiE Kerala, the state chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs, will host the first TiEcon Kerala 2012, at Kochi from October 25 to 26, 2012. Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the conference.

The keynote address will be delivered by Ashok Rao, Chairman TiE Global. ''TiEcon Kerala is being organised as a part of expanding activities of TiE Kerala Chapter.

The conference, which is held first time in a non- metro city, provides great opportunities for the new generation entrepreneurs to have pro-active interactions with renowned experts and successful entrepreneurs", John K Paul, President of TiE Kerala said.

About 1000 delegates will participate in the two day conference. 'The new generation in Kerala has chosen the entrepreneurship path. This has been proved by the success and growth of our Tchnopark, Infopark and other theme parks" John K Paul pointed out.

He said that the state government had requested TiE Kerala to organise a Workshop on 'Entrepreneur friendly Emerging Kerala' at Thiruvananthapuram last month. And to consider the recommendations of the workshop, TiE Kerala had also organised a Round Table on Entrepreneurship at the 'Emerging Kerala' meet.

The final proposals have been submitted to the government. The Government of Kerala is supporting and participating in TiEcon Kerala 2012, considering it as a follow up to the 'Emerging Kerala' meet, he added.

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), founded in Silicon Valley, USA, is a global network of entrepreneurs engaged in promoting entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking and education.
