GUWAHATI: Three suspected cattle lifters from Bangladesh who had crossed over into Indian territory illegally were killed in Assam’s Karimganj district.

Kumar Sanjit Krishna, SP of Karimganj in a statement stated, “three unknown suspected Bangladeshi nationals were killed last night by some unknown miscreants at Bogrijan under Patharkandi Police Station near 134 Bn of ' E' coy , BSF which is about 1.5 km away from the PO."

He added, “on enquiry it is revealed that the said Bangladeshi nationals crossed border with a motive to steal cows from the Bogrijan area."


The police have recovered Bangladesh-made food, rope, carry bag, fencing- cutter, wire from the deceased.

Follow-up actions have been initiated.
