"I spoke with her father immediately yesterday after the incident, and he demanded justice. We will ensure justice and deliver capital punishment. Whatever the family has requested, the government will do accordingly," the Chief Minister said on the sidelines of a programme today.
"A complaint was lodged by the family against four individuals. Three have been arrested. Three others have been detained, who were found to be in contact with the two absconding accused," the CM added.

"Two CRPF jawans have been injured. A police vehicle was set on fire, and railway tracks were uprooted. The way the railway tracks were uprooted reminds us of the 2019 anti-CAA protests and the recent anti-Waqf Amendment Bill protests," Adhikari said.
The two incidents the CM spoke about include a mob lynching, in which an individual was beaten to death on suspicion. A separate FIR has been filed in this regard. In the third incident, a case has been registered regarding the vandalism of a police vehicle and an attack on police personnel and the CRPF. A police personnel has been admitted to hospital after sustaining serious head injuries.
The Chief Minister indicated the Trinamool Congress' role in instigating violence, without naming the party.
"The 'unhappy souls' who had retreated into their homes after losing the Assembly election and are still hiding there, these people have carried out violence, and action will be taken against them. We will take stringent action against them," he pointed out.
Meanwhile, apprehending fresh tension in the Baruipur area in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district over the recovery of the body of a 12-year-old minor girl on Sunday, the Baruipur Police District imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, in areas under three police stations within its jurisdiction.
The Chief Minister has said several times that a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted regarding violence against women. Tension broke out in Baruipur on Sunday after the recovery of the minor girl's body from a pond the same morning.
