Siddaramaiah, Shivakumar aides clash at Karnataka Bhavan
A political clash between top Congress leaders in Karnataka has now spilled over to their aides. According to ANI, a heated argument broke out at Karnataka Bhavan in Delhi between two senior staff members, one from the Chief Minister’s office and another from the Deputy Chief Minister’s team.

The dispute involved C Mohan Kumar, the Assistant Resident Commissioner at Karnataka Bhavan and also Siddaramaiah’s special duty officer (SDO), and H Anjaneya, who serves as SDO to Deputy CM DK Shivakumar. The matter has now reached the notice of both leaders.

What Anjaneya Alleges

In a formal complaint to the Chief Secretary of Karnataka, Anjaneya accused Mohan Kumar of repeatedly obstructing his work.

“Since he took over as Assistant Resident Commissioner, Mohan has been creating trouble. He even threatened to hit me with his shoe in the office,” Anjaneya claimed in the letter. “He tried to assault me in front of everyone. If anything happens to me, he will be responsible.”

Anjaneya has requested a departmental inquiry into Mohan Kumar’s promotion and behaviour. “He may be senior, but he is misusing his position. My dignity has been harmed,” Anjaneya added.

Mohan Kumar Denies Allegations

Mohan Kumar, however, denied threatening Anjaneya. Speaking to ANI, he said, “Anjaneya had visited the office earlier and said something sarcastic. I didn’t react because I was on a phone call. Later, when I heard about it from the staff, I called him for clarification.”

Kumar also accused Anjaneya of misbehaving with female staff members. “Some women employees have filed a complaint with the Women’s Commission about Anjaneya’s behaviour,” he added.

CM Responds, Police Say No Complaint Yet

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said he has heard about the clash but is yet to get full details. “Someone informed me about it. I’ll look into the matter,” he said.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police told ANI that no PCR call or official complaint has been received regarding the clash at Karnataka Bhavan. “We will act as soon as a complaint is filed,” the police said.
