Threat to Afghanistan is from those who back terror, India tells Sartaj Aziz
India reacted angrily to Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif's adviser Sartaj Aziz's allegation that it was using Afghanistan to carry out attacks against Pakistan.

"We all know, who is upstreaming terrorism and who endeavours to downstream terrorism. It is certainly not India. We all also know that the main threat to peace and security in Afghanistan comes from terrorism," said foreign ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin.
"Therefore, don't be misled by those who intend to obscure the challenge that safe havens pose to peace and security in the region," he added.
He was asked about Aziz's remarks that India was "involved in the attacks on Pakistan from Afghanistan".
Aziz had also alleged that India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi was non-cooperative in resolving the Kashmir issue. Aziz is Sharif's adviser on foreign affairs.
"The stance of the previous governments in India was subtle but the Modi-led government has said that if Pakistan is to maintain good ties with India, then it should compromise on Kashmir," the Pakistani leader had told Dawn News channel on Sunday.
