This Narendra Modi doesn’t like the attention he’s getting
The Alwar resident joined Shri Ram College of Commerce in 1975 and also contested college elections for vicepresident post in 1978.

But all that changed ever since Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal dragged him into the degree controversy by alleging that it was the Alwar-based businessman who was awarded a graduation degree by Delhi University in 1978 and the degree awarded to the PM by DU in the same year was "false".
"My name is being dragged into a controversy. My focus has been diverted from my business meetings to attending reporters' phone calls. It hurts when you see people using your name without your consent," he told TOI, while confirming that he was indeed awarded a degree by DU in 1978.
However, the contents of the Alwar resident's degree are quite different from PM Modi's degree. While the businessman got the degree in Bachelor of Commerce (honours course) and his name is mentioned as Narendra Kumar Modi, PM's degree, in Bachelor of Arts, mentions Narendra Damodardas Modi.
The Alwar resident joined Shri Ram College of Commerce in 1975 and also contested college elections for vicepresident post in 1978. Slamming AAP for disclosing his identity, he said: "They (AAP) did not bother to check if I was fine with my identity being made public."
Stressing that he was a nonpolitical person, the businessman, who exports engineering components to European countries, said he was confident that the PM cannot 'lie to the nation'.
