This is Modi's 'brutal New India': Rahul Gandhi on Alwar lynching incident

Congress President Rahul Gandhi, took to twitter to blame prime minister Narendra Modi for the death of a man named Rakbar Khan in yet another incident of lynching in Alwar, Rajasthan.

He tweeted saying "Narendra Modi's "brutal New India" is to blame for the callousness of the Rajasthan police who overnight Friday delayed taking a lynching victim to hospital by three hours,after which the man was brought there dead on arrival.

In a strongly worded comment, he went on to say, in this 'New India'," humanity is replaced with hatred and people are crushed and left to die."



The fact that it took more than six hours to travel a distance of 6 kms, irked Rahul Gandhi and led him to question the responsiveness of the state police.

Rahul Gandhi also cited several media reports, which claimed that the policemen stopped for tea and took the cows to a shelter before taking Khan to the hospital.

The incident involves a man named Rakbar alias Akbar was lunched on Friday night in Alwar, Rajasthan on suspicion of being a cow smuggler. The it took the police over two and a half hours from the time they reached the lynching spot to get to the CHC, where Rakbar was brought dead.
