Third Front would benefit from 'anti-Congress wave' in the country: Prakash Karat
LUDHIANA: CPI (M) General Secretary Prakash Karat today claimed there is a strong " anti-Congress wave" in the country which would benefit the Third Front and not the BJP. "Forget that the country will have a Congress government this time," he told reporters here.

When asked if they would seek the support of the Congress in forming the government, he shot back, "It is for the Congress party to see whether they have to support the secular forces or not."

In reply to another question regarding the book 'Accidental Prime Minister' written by Sanjaya Baru, a former media advisor of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the CPI(M) leader terms it as a purely subjective version but he totally disagreed with what had been written about the role of the Left parties. Karat was in the city to seek votes for the CPI(M) candidate from Ludhiana Sukhminder Singh Sekhon.
