Will go a long way: Kurukshetra MP Navin Jindal drove a small MG Comet Electric to Parliament on Friday. Jindal was behind the wheel of the car, which looked like an extended Tata Nano. Jindal told the reporters that his goal for the next year is to work to make Delhi a pollution-free city where people can live.

Odisha hosts one event after another now

Since the BJP assumed control in Odisha, the state has garnered significant attention for organising events. The three-day DGP-IGP conference is currently underway in Bhubaneshwar, attended by Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. The Indian Navy will conduct an operational demonstration at Puri's Blue Flag Beach on Navy Day, December 4. Bhubaneshwar will host the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in January of the upcoming year.

It's still likely to take a little bit longer

Milkipur may need to wait a little longer for its MLA. The Allahabad High Court allowed BJP MLA Baba Gorakhnath to withdraw his election petition on the seat in Ayodhya this week, clearing the way for a byelection to the seat that became vacant after sitting Samajwadi Party MLA Awadhesh Prasad was elected from the Faizabad parliamentary seat in the recent Lok Sabha elections. The actual bypoll to Milkipur, however, is likely to take a little longer because EC usually waits to schedule a group of bypolls rather than doing so individually.
