Politics of bookkeeping

After TDP's national general secretary Nara Lokesh brought out a red book in 2023 during his pan-state Yuva Gallam yatra in Andhra Pradesh, it is now Bharat Rashtra Samithi's turn. Just like Lokesh's list of police officers filing cases against TDP members, BRS MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla has announced a pink book (pink being the party colour) that will keep a record of BRS leaders being allegedly targeted by the Congress government in Telangana.

Trip down memory lane

When BJP chief JP Nadda will attend the centenary celebrations of Patna Medical College next week, it will be a trip down memory lane for him. He was born in this hospital and his sisters and brothers-in-law have worked there as doctors. He has fond memories of visiting the hospital at odd hours to pick and drop his sisters and listening to surgeons talk about their patients at the tea stall. President Droupadi Murmu will grace the occasion and Nadda's sisters will also be present as alumni.

What’s in a name?

An RSS affiliate is planning a nationwide campaign to change the country’s name from “colonial India to Bharat”. Just back from its Gyan Mahakumbh, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas is planning a signature campaign ‘Ek Rashtra, Ek Naam: Bharat’ and make a representation to President Droupadi Murmu. It has already got four Madhya Pradesh universities to pass aresolution to the effect.
