New followers from around the world are regularly being added to PM Modi’s Twitter account. They include not only common citizens but also officials and politicians. What has impressed officials in many countries is that India has huge following on Twitter and Modi replies and posts ideas and comments regularly despite his busy schedule. The issues that Modi targets has also impressed many government officials worldwide.

Special Skills Needed for This Debut
Although the long-awaited reshuffle in Congress and Rahul’s elevation remain unsettled, some new elements are creating a buzz in the party. Word has it that there are quiet plans to have poll strategist Prashant Kishor formally join the party and give him a post too. Locals Ask Ulfa to Repair Embankment
A section of people in Lakhimpur in Assam has send out a request to chief of anti-talk faction of Ulfa, a militant outfit, to repair an embankment, which protects 14 villages from the surging waters of Ranganadi river. It was built by Ulfa in 1990 and needs repair. After repeated appeal to the state government, the local people appealed to anti-talk Ulfa chief Paresh Baruah to repair the ‘Ulfa embankment’.

Monumental Wait for Tenders
Since NDA dispensation has taken over, ASI and culture ministry have been trying to hire security guards to protect major monuments. But, for the third time in a row, tender has been cancelled for want of enough eligible vendors. A prominent company, which is in the fray and qualifies alone every time, meanwhile, continues to lend security guards to some ASI monuments on contract.
