VS Achuthanandan, the 92-yearold permanent dissident of Kerala CPM, may finally decide the fate of Sitaram Yechury, who is tipped to replace Prakash Karat as party general secretary. Yechury is perceived to be a supporter of VS and that is enough to anger the Kerala unit, which wants VS to be dumped, right now. So, last heard, Yechury is desperately wooing the Kerala unit and shunning VS.

Paid promotion of Make In India

The government seems to have taken the buzz in the corridors of industry on the fizzling out of 'Make in India' very seriously. At least on the social media. In an unusual move, the government is doing a paid promotion to get the 'Make in India' tag to trend on twitter. On Thursday, the #MakeinIndia tag was trending at the very top, as a promoted item on Twitter.

Second round of reshuffle in CBI

CBI witnessed second round of reshuffle with SPs being promoted to DIG rank. Ashwini Chand and Meenu Chaudhary, both probing cases against arms dealer Abhishek Verma, have been given charge of two different anti-graft branches at New Delhi. Odisha cadre IPS officer Ghanshyam Upadhayay, earlier part of the special unit, has been made DIG at the policy division.

Easy Wed & Fri for I&B officials

This is when the MoS — Olympian Rajyavardhan Rathore — rushes out for his gym sessions a bit early, after which others are seen leaving office, smiling.
