So when telecom minister RS Prasad was on Wednesday questioned at a press conference on the controversial pornography ban, the BJP leader started with “ye bhi hamein virasat me mili hai”, pointing out that the ban was a result of a 2013 court case.

Password Pain for Armymen

With Army’s defence accounts website hacked earlier this year, some officers are still struggling to gain access to their accounts as new password details have not reached all. The Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Officers) website remained dysfunctional for weeks after it was hacked, and orders were passed to not use existing accounts as officers’ personal data, like badge number and pan card, may be compromised.

Women MPs of BJP have been holding regular ‘ Kamal Sakhi’ gatherings in which party MPs and their spouses meet informally. On Tuesday, one such event was organised by environment minister Prakash Javadekar’s wife Prachi, where the theme was work done by BJP MPs for the village adopted by them under PM Adarsh Gram Yojana. Party chief Amit Shah and his wife were among the people invited at the event held in Parliament annexe.

Talk Shop at Workshop

After failing to get the Cabinet nod for CCTNS project, the Union home ministry is organising a workshop with state governments on Thursday to evaluate the progress of the project. The workshop, officials say, is to prepare the ground for a fresh proposal to be sent to Union Cabinet seeking sanction for CCTNS. The details of the workshop will be used to make pitch for the release of funds by finance ministry.
