Women and child development minister Maneka Gandhi has decided to embark on a massive media outreach. Gandhi wants to create awareness about her ministry’s initiatives and get feedback from women journalists across India. This mega media outreach, which would involve roping in regional Press Information Bureau (PIB) offices, is the first of its kind for the ministry and PIB.

Changing PM’s Profile Picture

The PMO and Modi’s personal Twitter and Facebook handles changed the PM’s profile picture on April 8. In the new picture on the PMO handle, Modi is wearing a green kurta and jacket, while on the personal handle, Modi features now in a saffron kurta minus jacket. Both these new pictures are different from the official photograph of Modi on the PMO website.

Change of Address from Sitharaman

At a time when the urban development ministry is struggling to evict overstaying ex-MPs, artists and journalists, minister Venkaiah Naidu received an unusual request from his colleague Nirmala Sitharaman. She has sought a change of address from her 11 Safdarjung Road residence. What made the request unusual was the fact that she has been given a new place on the same road, 15 Safdarjung Road. She had cited personal reasons for her request.

Former Prez Eyes Future

Services of ex-presidents and PMs are sought by states all over the world to push bilateral agenda. Ex-French President Nicholas Sarkozy’s one-day visit to Delhi on April 13 could be part of that agenda. Sarkozy will meet the PM, foreign minister and address business chamber, besides meeting former PM Manmohan Singh.
