Third Eye: Maurya gets aide of choice

UP deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has managed to convince the Centre to give him an aide of his choice. Pradeep Kumar, an Indian Postal Services officer serving as director in the culture ministry, has been sent to UP on deputation to serve in the personal staff of the deputy CM. Maurya is a favourite of BJP President Amit Shah.

Prompt Ministers
Junior ministers Anupriya Patel and Radhakrishnan P have been most prompt in submitting their asset details to the PMO this year while all other senior ministers are yet to do the same. All ministers are supposed to submit their asset details to PMO every year as on March 31. Apna Dal MP Patel was inducted into the Council of Ministers just a year ago.

‘Success Story of Aadhaar’
Keen to showcase utility of its Aadhaar project amid opposition from activists in the SC, the government has invited private players with interesting scripts to make a 7-minute short film on the ‘Success Story of Aadhaar’. The idea behind producing the film by UIDAI is to showcase the positive impact that Aadhaar has brought in the lives of people.

Big Plans by HRD Ministry
The HRD ministry has grand plans this Guru Purnima. On July 9 it will host a National Convention on Higher Education and nearly a thousand academic administrators from across all top institutes will be in attendance. The mega-conference will see the much-awaited launch of the ministry’s four key digital initiatives and grapevine has it that the PM may preside.
