Businessman Sana Sathish Babu took oath as TDP nominee in Rajya Sabha on Monday. Behind his nomination is a story of perfect balancing by TDP chief and Andhra CM N Chandrababu Naidu. The CM had little leeway as ally Pawan Kalyan insisted that his brother Naga Babu be given this berth and Naidu's son Nara Lokesh firmly backed Sathish's nomination. Naidu went with son's choice and nominated Naga Babu, a Kapu, to Cabinet. Now, all Jana Sena ministers are Kapus, giving Jana Sena the image of a Kapu party.

Coincidence of 79 Minutes

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday mentioned a coincidence during the debate on the Constitution. As soon as Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge finished his speech, Dhankhar pointed out that Kharge took 79 minutes to complete his speech. Coincidentally, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who initiated the debate in the House and spoke just before Kharge, also took 79 minutes for her speech.
