The manner in which former Congress leader Kiran Choudhry bagged from her new party BJP three quick rewards-Rajya Sabha berth for herself and Haryana Assembly seat and state ministership for daughter Shruti-has left many spellbound. Choudhry's rift with Congress started after Ajay Maken blamed her for his defeat in RS polls from Haryana and sided with BS Hooda in denying her daughter a LS party ticket. Now the joke is that many party functionaries are looking for ways to invite the 'lucky wrath of Maken' for finding breakthroughs.

Former Union minister Rameshwar Teli was denied the Lok Sabha ticket from Dibrugarh in 2024. Post the election, he got an eviction notice for his Sunhari Bagh Lane bungalow. Teli met urban development minister Manohar Lal and requested him to wait as he was being considered for Rajya Sabha nomination. Manohar Lal replied that everyone who has got an eviction notice is claiming a RS nomination and he is in no position to oblige. Later, Teli got nominated by the party for the RS and has now retained his bungalow.

After losing two Lok Sabha and one assembly elections consecutively, AIADMK in Tamil Nadu has decided to take the help of poll strategists. The party’s general secretary recently met with Robbin Sharrma of Showtime Consulting and discussed the possibility of working for the party for the next assembly elections. Sharrma worked for TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu in the last assembly elections and for Konrad Sangama in Meghalaya. Currently, Sharma is working with Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde for the upcoming assembly elections.
