Google Maps issue raised in Rajya Sabha: Ajeet Gopchade, BJP's Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra, raised concerns about growing incidents of people being misled by Google Maps. During zero hour, he said this is leading to accidents and drivers are ending up at unexpected destinations. Gopchade demanded measures to deal with the issue. He cited the example of a driver who was using Google Maps to go to Maharashtra but ended up in Karnataka forests. In another instance, a driver reached a river instead of the intended address. He suggested that the government should come up with its own foolproof app/system to deal with this challenge.

Delhi demand

BJP’s Lok Sabha MP from Hamirpur, Anurag Thakur, might have failed to find a place in the Narendra Modi government, but the former I&B minister was in huge demand during campaigning for Delhi assembly polls. On several days, Thakur, BJP youth wing’s former chief, addressed four rallies. His close connection with the youth and Haryanvi-Punjabi population comes in handy for the party.

Chhagan Bhujbal recently claimed that Sharad Pawar, who headed the undivided Nationalist Congress Party, was in talks with BJP for an alliance in 2014 and 2017- 19. When asked why NCP was simply giving overtures to BJP and not allying with it formally, Bhujbal retorted that even Ajit Pawar-led NCP has not married BJP and hinted that they were just roaming around together.
