While CEC Rajiv Kumar is well-known for using couplets and sher-o-shayari in his addresses, he was not alone during the National Voters' Day celebrations. Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, who is likely to replace as CEC next month, delivered a few inspiring lyrics from his alma mater's (LBSNAA) academy hymn. Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal followed suit, reciting a couplet in appreciation of the election panel before concluding his address.

No Mike for Sychopancy

Politicians, unlike Ajit Pawar, like being waxed about before they are called to give speeches. Recently, at a party meeting, a female NCP party functionary invited Ajit Pawar to speak on stage and began describing the NCP leader as having a "lion-like heart and walking like a tiger." Pawar interrupted her and nearly pulled the microphone away from her as she sat down embarrassed. Pawar began his speech by saying the entire state is aware he dislikes such talk.
