His justification to both his father and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is that he went to the US in his professional capacity and it has nothing to do with his ideology!

<b>Action After Minister's Reaction</b><br>Assam govt is trying to regulate traffic on Saraighat Bridge that links Guwahati with lower Assam after Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar got stuck in a jam recently. While on his way to attend a programme at IIT-Guwahati, an irked Javadekar said: “One could swim and reach faster than coming in a vehicle here.” The state government is leaving no stone unturned to improve the traffic situation in the state.

However, strangely, he didn't mention Lohia's popular follower and SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in his letter.
